IVORYPRESS EN LA BIENAL DE VENECIA 2012


Ivorypress en colaboración con Foster+Partners llevará a cabo la producción, diseño y ejecución de dos salas comisariadas por Norman Foster en la Bienal de Venecia 2012.

Gateway, ubicada a la entrada del edificio de la Corderia en el Arsenale, será la primera que encontrará el visitante. La integran cuatro proyecciones sincronizadas a cargo del cineasta Carlos Carcas y una instalación del artista Charles Sandison realizada para este espacio y desarrollada junto con Norman Foster.

En el Giardini otra sala estará dedicada al edificio que Norman Foster realizó en Hong Kong a principios de los ochenta y que hoy día se ha convertido en el epicentro de diversos movimientos sociales que tienen lugar en la ciudad. La sala está integrada por maquetas y dibujos originales de Norman Foster, la emblemática fotografía de Andreas Gursky Hong Kong Bank, videos de Marisa González y varios cuadros sobre el edificio del artista Ben Johnson.



Ivorypress, in collaboration with Foster + Partners, is in charge of the production, design and implementation of two rooms curated by Norman Foster at the Venice Biennale 2012.

Gateway, located at the entrance of the Corderia Building at the Arsenale will be the first hall the visitor will find, serving as an introduction to the Biennale's theme -'Common Ground'. It comprises four synchronized projections by filmmaker Carlos Carcas, with soundtrack by Fernando Pocostales and a site specific installation by Scottish artist Charles Sandison, developed in collaboration with Norman Foster.

In the Giardini Central Pavilion another room will be dedicated to Norman Foster’s HSBC Bank building, which was built in Hong Kong in the early eighties and since then has become a centre for various social activities taking place in the city. The room comprises a model and original drawings by Norman Foster, Andreas Gursky’s photograph Hong Kong Bank, videos by Marisa González and several paintings of the building by artist Ben Johnson.
